Behavioural Safety


This course defines behavioural safety and explains the origins of the concept. It covers how it can be implemented in the workplace and some of the potential benefits.


Behavioral safety training is essential for creating a safety-conscious workplace. It fosters a safety culture by encouraging employees to prioritize and actively contribute to a secure environment. The training focuses on reducing accidents and incidents by identifying and modifying unsafe behaviors, enhancing risk awareness, and improving communication.

It contributes to legal compliance, meeting obligations for a safe working environment in the UK. Additionally, behavioral safety training has financial benefits, reducing costs associated with accidents and injuries.


By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• Understand what behavioural safety is and its links to health and safety in the workplace.
• Recognise and understand ‘at risk’ behaviours in the workplace.
• Identify the benefits of behavioural Safety Plans
• Identify the benefits of a positive and safe workplace.


Each module is rounded off with several multiple-choice questions, candidates are required to get 70% on these tests to pass the course. They have the opportunity to review all the answers at the end of each module before final submission and will be given 3 attempts to achieve the required result.
